General

We try and keep our 'small print' to a minimum, but please be aware that all sales are subject to the following Terms & Conditions, which supersede any previously issued Terms & Conditions. Please contact us if you require clarification on any of the points and we will be happy to help.

We aim to make it as effortless to contact us as possible and you will usually get a fast response by e-mailing your query to us. Please note that we only accept orders by either the internet or post and that we are unable to accept orders by telephone.

Returns Policy

Our aim is that you should be delighted with your purchase from The Green Door Sweet Shop. Should you feel that there is a problem with the quality of the goods that we have supplied then please return them to us with in 10 days of receipt to the address shown above. Please state clearly what the problem is and we will respond as quickly as possible with the aim of resolving all issues amicably.

Please note that all despatches leave us well packaged and in perfect condition. We cannot be held responsible for any climatic conditions once the shipment has left us, for example damp or hot environments which may cause damage to the contents of any package.

Payment Security

We care about your Credit Card security when shopping with us on the internet. We use Worldpay to take secure encrypted on line payments and at no time do we have access to your credit card details. We are happy to accept payment by personal cheque or postal orders. Please note that you should not send cash through the post.

Privacy Policy

We guarantee that we will not pass your details onto any third parties whatsoever and we only hold your details for despatching your order and to advise you of any future offers by ourselves. We will remove your details from our system at your request at any time.

Despatch Information

We aim to despatch the same day if the order is placed before 11:30am and all the items are in stock. Any orders received after this time will be despatched the next working day. Please bear in mind that Saturday and Sunday are not classed as working days.

As a rule of thumb, you should expect to receive your sweets with in 4 working days of placing the order if you are located in the UK and between 5 and 10 working days if you are located outside the UK. It is always our aim to despatch your order with in the shortest possible time of you placing it with us. If your order is for a special occasion - please advise us at the time of ordering, we're always up for a challenge! We cannot be held responsible for any delays which may be caused by any third parties.

We will always endeavour to use the most cost effective method of despatch for your order. This usually means that orders weighing a total of up to 2kg will be despatched via Royal Mail and any orders in excess of 2kg will be despatched via our carrier. Please note that all carrier deliveries will require a signature upon delivery.

For UK orders the despatch & packaging costs range from a minimum of £1.99 to a maximum cost of £8.99 regardless of size of order. For deliveries outside the UK the despatch & packaging costs start at £3.95 and depend on the total weight of the order. The Shopping Cart will work out the appropriate charges for you whether your delivery address is inside or outside the UK. These charges represent excellent value for money and the more you buy the more cost effective the distribution cost becomes.

Out of Stock Policy

If any of the items on your order are out of stock we will either:

Hold your order if stock is expected with in a short time or if a longer wait is expected, we will despatch the balance of your order and follow with the despatch of the out of stock item as soon as it arrives with us. Unless we have another item which is very close in description and quality to your original request then we will not normally send a substitution with out contacting you by e-mail first.

Nut Information

Due to the wide range of suppliers and manufacturers that we deal with and the size and variety of our own stock holding, we are unable to confirm with 100% certainty whether any particular products do or do not definitely contain nuts or traces of nut product.
